Caregiving and the Workplace: How to Make it Work!

Our senior population is growing and our financial and social systems are not prepared to care for them. Families must provide care and support, but many family caregivers are working. What is this pressure to work and care for our aging population doing to caregivers? What about caregivers of children with disabilities, or those with mental health issues or other types of caregivers? Is their work life equally impacted? This week on Caregivers’ Circle, Mark Henik, the National Program Manager for Mental Health Works at Canadian Mental Health Association Ontario breaks down how caregiving can impact the workplace and he offers suggestions on how working caregivers can seek help from their employers.
